The laboratory is interested in the regulation of gene expression in heart development and heart failure. We seek to apply our understanding of heart development towards regenerative approaches to congenital and acquired heart disease.

Current Projects:
1. Transcriptional and epigenetic regulation of heart development and heart function.
2. Heart regeneration.
3. Modeling heart disease with iPS technology.

The Pu laboratory is in the Department of Cardiology, Children's Hospital Boston. Dr. Pu is a member of the Children's Hospital Translational Investigator Service, the Harvard Stem Cell Institute and the Children's Stem Cell Program and affiliated faculty of the Department of Genetics, Harvard Medical School.

The lab is funded by grants from NIH NHLBI, the Harvard Stem Cell Institute, the Children's Hospital Translational Investigator Program, charatable donations, and postdoctoral fellowships from the American Heart Association.

Positions available for highly motivated and focused individuals with expertise in molecular biology, stem cell biology, transcriptional regulation, biochemistry, or bioinformatics. Please
